The morning-after pill sold for less than £5 by a UK website

Josephine Quintavalle: “These are really serious drugs – it worries me that even regardless of the moral issues, selling at these prices and without proper consultation is misleading women into thinking this is routine contraception, and something that can be treated casually”.

Bruno Mozzanega, gynecologist and professor at the University of Padova, Italy, has commented the news saying that: “They are selling an anti-implantation, and often abortifacient, pill at the price of a pack of cigarettes. The worst part is that they recommend women not to take the pill regularly and they lie about the mechanism of action of it, which is scientifically proven to be also abortifacient in some cases”.
